Here I started using a middle tone Conte crayon. Wasn’t exactly sure how to go about it at first. I’ve since realized that you have to be efficient and rational in your process, so that you don’t end up putting down less information in the given time. It is wasteful spending your time drawing over the same lines with both tones. I’ve found that having a middle tone can be really helpful for indications of anatomy like the clavicles, shoulder blades, knees and ankles. It also helps a lot to soften up facial features and cast shadows.
